Realtor.com gets the most traffic of any real estate website. As the official site of the National Association of Realtors, this website has MLS listings for everywhere in the USA. It also has some other useful information for buyers, which can be found at the bottom of the "Listing Details" page of any listing. As a seller, you would definitely want a good presence on Realtor.com.
Negatives: Searches based on anything other than "Basic Search Options" are unreliable and unpredictable; as some listings are displayed as active even once their status has changed to pending or sold.

Additional Search Methods:
HUD repossessed homes which can be found on the First Preston website. For HUD homes in the Austin area, please click the link above to view.
These are homes that had FHA loans and went onto foreclosure. For more information, see How to purchase HUD Homes
Classified ads in newspapers - too little information and too time-consuming to find what you are looking for. Many of the homes are overpriced and for sale
by investors who specialize in owner financing.
Simply driving around looking at "For Sale" signs - this is ok if you have it narrowed down to certain neighborhoods, otherwise it's too hit-or-miss.
Other real estate company sites - However, you won't find any listings that aren't also on Realtor.com or the other home search sites.
Free Real Estate magazines found on the racks of supermarkets - Misleadingly portrayed as being a helpful resource for homebuyers.
They have lots of cute property descriptions and pictures of smiling real estate agents, but no addresses or zip codes. Many of the houses advertised are
already sold or off the market.
FSBO websites - Selection is very limited, and most are in the business to sell advertising. Also some FSBO websites even charge you to list your home
on thier website. Click here to view an example of what they typically charge.
Note: for only a few hundred dollars more, Creekview Realty will list your property on the MLS and Realtor.com, helping you gain 90% more buyer exposure.
All FSBO websites combined are less than 3% of the market. See For-Sale-By-Owner Facts & Statistics.
